Aconcagua, Argentina, January 2003

In January 2003 a group of six set off to climb Aconcagua, at 22,841 ft, the highest mountain in the southern hemisphere. Team: Bruno Martin (Chamonix-based guide), Mark Brownjohn (BJ), Jane Corfield, Charles Godden, Simon Sheldon and Myself. Bruno, BJ, Charles and I reached the summit on January 20.     Richard on top of Acaoncagua with the metal cross and the metal box that is the summit log although we didn't know at the time. So none of us signed it. I suppose that means it "doesn't count". Oh well I expect we'll have to do it again. Not likely.
