In February 2004,Gillian, with 36 hours notice,joined an expedition to Everest Base Camp. Richard packed her gear, bought her thermal underwear and drove her to the airport. It turned out to be a very memorable experience and her email from Namche Bazaar said it all: 'Mission Accomplished'
